About Furemedy

Furemedy is a free, brand-neutral guide to natural remedies for dogs and cats.

Why it exists

If you search for a natural remedy for your dog or cat, almost everything you find is published by a company that wants to sell you its own bottle. The advice is shaped by the inventory. We wanted the opposite: start from the problem the animal actually has, lay out the options honestly — homeopathic, herbal, or a plain supplement — and be equally willing to say “this one needs a vet, not a remedy.”

How we are funded

Retailer affiliate commissions, where we are enrolled — disclosed in full, including what we currently earn, in our affiliate disclosure. We stock nothing and sell nothing of our own, which is precisely what lets us stay neutral about what we recommend.

Who publishes this

Furemedy is written and published by Paul Chilana, an independent publisher based in Renton, Washington, USA. It is not owned by, funded by, or affiliated with any manufacturer, retailer, or veterinary practice. Questions, corrections, and takedown requests all go to the same inbox and are read by a person: hello@furemedy.com.

Corrections

If you find something on this site that is wrong, out of date, or unsafe, tell us and we will fix it. Corrections to a remedy page are made within 48 hours of us being able to verify the problem, and material changes are noted on the page.

Our editorial approach

Every guide names the remedies traditionally used for that concern, explains the pattern each one suits, and leads with the red flags that mean the problem belongs with a veterinarian. We would rather send you to a clinic than keep you on our page. We are also plain about the evidence: supplements such as omega-3s are reasonably well studied, herbal medicine less so, and homeopathy is not supported by conventional science. We publish it because owners use it and deserve accurate, safety-first information about it.
